Creators Rod Atteberry and Rusty Tinder created Sea Song on the waters off of Southern California, aboard Honey Bear, a thirty-foot Catalina sailboat. Rod spent several years working aboard cruise ships and has always looked for a way to share those experiences and the beauty of life at sea. Their intent was to create a global story, one that could be enjoyed around the planet. Sea Song is a treasure meant to be shared. The ship has been fully designed (hull, lines, rigging and magic) by Jan Mondragon, a certified Master and lifelong sailor, and Kim McClintock. Jan has worked as an artist and painter throughout her life, but her experience in building her own boat by hand, to complete her voyages in the South Pacific were most useful . Her boat worked admirably and her expertise is apparent in the authenticity of the vessel prepared as Sea Song. Tony Peluce renders the character drawings. Tony comes from a family of animators and has worked extensively as an artist and illustrator. His renderings capture the spirit of magic and adventure in the story. |
